Based in Dalby, you will be part of the Utilities Team responsible for providing construction and maintenance services and expertise to contribute to the provision of safe water and wastewater for our community. Reporting to the Utilities Network Supervisor East, you will: Perform a variety of construction and maintenance tasks on water mains, water and gas meters, sewer mains, jump ups, manholes and associated fittings; Be accountable for recording all paperwork for the completion of works and required log sheets; Ensure that all scheduled testing is completed on time and done in accordance with testing procedures. About you The successful applicant will: Hold a Plumber Drainer Gasfitter Licence and a Construction Safety White card (essential); Have certificates in backflow prevention endorsement, confined space entry, a backhoe ticket, and an MR driver's licence (desirable); Have good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team; Enjoy manual labour and applying technical knowledge. This position will also receive additional allowances including: Utilities Appointed Plumbers Allowance - $67.01 per week; On Call Allowance - applicable on call allowances as per Award; Locality Allowance - Dependent on location and dependants; Tool Allowance - $32.63 per week; Utilities Operations Retention Payment - $1,500.00 (conditions apply).
