Facilities Officer (Grounds)
As a Facilities Officer (Grounds), you will play a vital role in maintaining the school grounds and gardens to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
Responsibilities:
* Grounds keeping: Mow, trim, fertilise lawns and turf areas. Repair and maintain irrigation systems. Weed, plant, and fertilise gardens. Maintain grounds equipment. Check and adjust security lighting.
* Maintenance: Assist with minor building maintenance as directed. Support contracts requiring access to school property or buildings. Carry out minor repairs to school property and equipment including: replacing tap washers, repairing leaking toilets, repairing windows, repairing desks, and chairs, and basic painting as directed.
* Events: Assist with marking sporting fields and grounds. Assist with the setup and dismantling of tents and equipment related to school functions.
* Safety: Assess equipment to determine if minor repairs are required. Assist with the completion and documentation of various workplace health and safety tasks as required by the principal.

Mandatory Requirements:
* A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position
