At Meelup Farmhouse, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on seasonal ingredients and innovative flavours. Our team is passionate about food and dedicated to excellence, and we’re looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen, reporting to our Executive Chef/Venue Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
2. Develop and design a creative, seasonal menu that reflects our culinary vision.
3. Manage kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and fostering a positive team environment.
4. Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs to ensure profitability.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
6. Execute private events and weddings to an outstanding standard, following event orders and procedures agreed with clients.
7. Collaborate with management on special events, promotions, and menu tastings.
8. Continuously innovate and refine recipes based on customer feedback and trends.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
2. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Passion for food and commitment to high-quality standards.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
6. Creative mindset with a willingness to experiment and push culinary boundaries.
