Job Description
We are seeking a Part Time Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Novotel Sydney City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within cost margins specified by the hotel.
* Evaluate and implement effective stock rotation procedures to minimize wastage.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness in working areas, including washing dishes and kitchen cleaning. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or restaurant environment.
* Excellent technical knowledge with experience in various cooking techniques and styles.
* Exemplary communication and organisational skills.
* Able to maintain high and consistent food safety standards and understanding of HACCP protocols.
