The Role
The Learning and Development Officer will play a critical role in contributing to the development of Air Mobility Group (AMG) training. You will lead a small team and be responsible for the delivery of learning materials to support AMG platforms. Within this role, you will:
* Perform analysis, design, development and evaluation of complex learning and development activities, including development of curriculum.
* Conduct stakeholder engagement in relation to complex learning and development issues to determine aviation and maintenance training needs, and lead development of relevant curriculum.
* Develop and maintain supporting systems, policies and processes, evaluate and recommend learning and development strategies for emerging capabilities and conduct governance activities in accordance with the Defence Systems Approach to Defence Learning.
The successful candidate will coordinate and contribute to team objectives in alignment with work plans, and provide advice and assistance on various modes of task completion to team members. They will be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others as well as identify opportunities for on-the-job training within the work unit.
About our Team
Air Mobility Group (AMG) is responsible for preparing and conducting air mobility operations for Defence force projection. As such, Squadrons within AMG operate globally on a daily basis and are often the first on the scene when deploying Defence assets in time of crisis.
We operate six aircraft types in a range of roles covering air logistics support, airborne operations, and air-to-air refuelling. We also support a range of tasks including aero-medical evacuation missions, along with search and rescue.
Flying squadrons with AMG are located at RAAF Bases Richmond, Amberley and Defence Establishment Fairbairn. Headquarters Air Mobility Group at RAAF Base Richmond administers No. 84 Wing and No. 86 Wing, along with Air Mobility Control Centre and Air Mobility Training and Development Unit.
You will be part of a small team which supports each of the Squadrons by providing learning and development support.
