Job Description: VRF Sales Engineer
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
* Achieving regional sales targets within the NSW territory and developing action plans.
* Visiting Air Conditioning Specialists, Contractors, and Mechanical Building Services Engineers/Consultants to discuss product applications, training needs, and project conceptual designs.
* Updating product data manuals, achieving product 'spec-in,' maintaining project follow-up, and scheduling products on projects.
* BUILDING AND MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXISTING AND NEW PARTNERS.
* Providing technical advice, supporting literature dissemination, and conducting product seminars and marketing events.
* Supporting roadshows, trade exhibitions, and handling phone calls from specialists, contractors, and consultants.
* Processing phone orders and coordinating order fulfillment with relevant departments.
* Coordinating with internal sales, sales admin, and warehouse staff regarding deliveries and resolving delivery issues.
* Undertaking equipment selections, preparing quotations, and supporting reporting systems.
* Providing regular competitive information, market trends, and attending customer and company functions, meetings, and conferences.
Requirements for Success
* Holding a relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and white card.
* Having relevant experience in the air conditioning industry, including system selection and application.
* Being highly motivated in managing accounts and developing business partnerships.
* Being skilled in developing and implementing sales plans focused on strong customer relationships and air conditioning system sales.
* Being able to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand format.
* Having excellent communication skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Being willing to travel interstate and overseas as required.
* Being customer service-focused with strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Having a strong work ethic and being adaptable to meet varying work demands.
* Being capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Being a great communicator, diplomatic, and responsive.
* Being an excellent negotiator with the ability to handle pressure in difficult situations.
