The Salesforce Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions that meet both client and business needs. This position requires strong leadership in pre-sales activities, including leading tender responses and proposal writing, while ensuring technical alignment with business objectives. The Salesforce Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive project strategy, architecture, and delivery. Additionally, the Architect will serve as a thought leader within the organisation, providing technical guidance, fostering innovation, and mentoring teams to ensure successful project outcomes. The role also encompasses establishing best practices for solution design and delivery, and actively participating in business development efforts to drive growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
Consulting
Design and deliver comprehensive Salesforce solutions that align with client needs, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability.
Collaborate with clients to understand business challenges, define requirements, and translate them into technical designs.
Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and discovery sessions with key stakeholders to gather and refine system requirements.
Provide thought leadership on Salesforce best practices, architectural patterns, and emerging technologies.
Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow and enhanced functionality.
Business Development/Leadership/Strategy
Lead tender responses and proposal development, ensuring accurate technical scoping and cost estimation.
Engage in pre-sales activities, including client presentations, demonstrations, and solutioning workshops.
Develop and drive strategic initiatives within the organisation, shaping the Salesforce practice’s vision and long-term goals.
Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Contribute to overall business strategy by identifying opportunities for growth, advising leadership, and driving key decisions in technology investments.
Client Support
Act as the primary technical point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong relationships and a deep understanding of their business needs.
Provide ongoing support to clients post-implementation, addressing technical issues and offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
Offer training and enablement sessions to client teams to maximise the value derived from their Salesforce investment.
Risk & Compliance
Comply with relevant firm and industry legislation and incorporate into practices and processes as relevant.
Report all identified risks and breaches.
Comply with relevant WH&S legislation, adhering to reasonable instructions, work procedures and practices to maintain the health and safety of the team.
Report all workplace hazards and incidents.
Key Performance Indicators
Agreed upon through the performance measurement process with the CEO.
Special Conditions
Ordinary full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8am – 6pm.
On occasion some out of hours work may be required – please note unpaid overtime may also be required on occasions.
Selection Criteria
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Extensive experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design. Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or similar is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, etc.) and third-party integrations.
Proven ability to lead end-to-end implementations, including discovery, design, development, and deployment.
Expertise in writing and reviewing technical documentation, including solution designs, system architecture, and data models.
Strong business acumen with experience in pre-sales, tender responses, and proposal writing.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex solutions to non-technical audiences.
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and leading technical teams through iterative project lifecycles.
Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and risk management strategies.
Experience managing technical risk, ensuring compliance with industry standards and governance frameworks.
Ability to mentor and develop technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation.
