This position has opened up due to an internal secondment, providing a unique chance for the right candidate to make a significant impact. As t he Learning Designer, you’ ll be support ing academic and teaching staff to design, develop and deliver transformative curriculum in new and amended programs. You’ ll work collaboratively and proactively as a team member with Academic Development Group colleagues and School teaching teams to prepare innovative and fit-for-purpose learning activities and learning resources based on curriculum requirements for contemporary HE education settings. About You To be successful in this position, you’ll have experience, and a comprehensive understanding of the role technology plays in enhancing student experience and outcomes, as well as knowledge of the pedagogical affordances of discipline-specific strategies for face-to-face and online learning environments. The Key Selection Criteria for Success: Evidence of experience in learning, teaching and assessment design that support student- centred learning experiences Evidence of experience and knowledge of digital pedagogies and educational innovation in face to face, blended and online learning environments, including Learning Management Systems such as Canvas Proven skills and experience in instructional design and the development of learning experiences and resources for contemporary learning environments. Experience with the production of digital learning resources that include but are not limited to the use of video and multimedia production techniques Demonstrated project management skills in coordinating multiple stakeholders, meeting timeframes and delivering outcomes. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking ability and flexibility to adapt work practices and models according to need. Demonstrated excellent communication skills and proven ability to secure the cooperation and engagement of a wide range of people within a complex environment Demonstrated professional experience in an area of education specialisation such as learning and teaching development, academic integrity, employability, technology-enhanced-learning, assessment, curriculum design and development, evaluation methods Relevant experience in a University environment (desirable) Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
