This role is designed to provide valuable support for the Engineering Degree Apprenticeship program, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of delivery and fostering improved student success and completion rates.You'll be involved in updating and improving course content, exploring innovative teaching and assessment methods, including online delivery. Engaging with external partners, industry experts, and colleagues at RMIT is another key aspect of your role. Keeping your vocational skills current and relevant will be crucial to ensure the quality of education you provide meets high standards.To be successful in this position, you'll have:Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments, including effective presentation and facilitation skills, and the use of flexible teaching methods.Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions.Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.Not necessary, however, it would be beneficial if you had any experience with traineeships or apprenticeships.Mandatory Qualifications:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.About the College of Vocational EducationThe purpose of RMIT's College of Vocational Education is to empower learners and our industry, community and government partners to succeed in the new world of work.
