Responsibilities and Tasks Include ·Inspecting equipment and work areas before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
·Assessing the quality of raw materials and accurately measuring ingredients.
·Kneading, fermenting, cutting, shaping, and mixing dough and pastry products.
·Overseeing the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling processes for bread, rolls, and pastry products.
·Applying glazes to buns and pastries and decorating cakes with icing and cream.
·Operating machinery for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
·Cleaning, greasing, and maintaining baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment.
·Preparation and rotation of ingredients for daily production ·Preparing various pastry fillings.
·Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times.
Requirements: ·Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pastry Cook is mandatory.
·Minimum relevant AQF Certificate III is mandatory.
Preference will be given to AQF Certificate IV or higher studies.
·A willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
·Have a strong understanding of the bakery products, market trends, customer service standards, and how to exceed them ·The ability to engage and build relationships with regular clientele ·Proven record of innovation ·A strong understanding in creating quality pastries ·Strong organizational and time management skills ·Good communication and leadership skills ·Excellent food hygiene standards
