This is a fast-paced environment with a lot to learn and do to assist our dynamic team to function in an efficient and effective manner as we continue to grow.About The RoleThe Project Engineer (Civil) assists in providing delivery and engineering support to the Project Managers; specifically, developing aspects of the design (in line with contract requirements), site construction support, quality systems implementation, analysing, monitoring, reporting and testing to ensure safe, and legally compliant outcomes within the civil construction industry.We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our client’s team. The basis of employment is as outlined below:Based in GladstoneImmediate commencementEmployment Type – Permanent Full TimeMonday – FridayRemuneration – Salary + Package (individual agreement)Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance. Ensure project works comply and meet all specifications.Create and implement Inspection Test Plans from project documentation as required.Perform overall Quality Control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, performance) and report regularly on project status to Project Manager and Upper Management.Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance.Liaise regularly with the principal and/or principal contractors to monitor changes, assess effects on cost, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.Involve yourself in the assessment of subcontractor works with regards to productivity, resource levels and program on various projects to gain improvement on future projects.Adhere to our Integrated Management Systems (IMS) to ensure continuing third-party accreditation.Assist management in reviewing and assessing contracts and participating in meetings with clients regarding contract resolution/alterations.Exploration of new business activities, opportunities, products, innovations and the like throughout the course of your engagement.Comply with all relevant work health, safety, environment and quality rules and requirements and encourage safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
