About Our Role An exciting casual opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and qualified Maintenance Fitter/Machinist to join our high-performing maintenance team at our Ulverstone facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Area Manager, the role will provide fitting/mechanical support to our large-scale production operations and will work a variety of days across a Mon - Fri (07:00-15:30) roster.
With a base rate of $46.77 (incl 25% casual loading) + overtime opportunities (where applicable), this is a great opportunity for those suitably certified tradespeople looking to demonstrate their competency in the fitting/machining field.
What You Will Do Participate and contribute to all site safety activitiesEnsure a variety of plant & equipment incl. food preparation, cutting equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, pumping systems, conveyors and sorting equipment is maintained per the maintenance scheduleAssist with preventative, predictive, breakdown and corrective maintenance activitiesWork in conjunction with other on-site trades (electricians + contractors) to ensure job scope is completed to a high standard specification.Contribute to continual improvement processesWork with automated equipmentUse of MEX (CMMS) and other Windows-based systemsAssist with our annual site shutdown maintenance activitiesAbout You Possess a 100% commitment to safety in the workplaceHold a current Cert III Engineering (Mechanical)Availability during the week Monday-Friday (07:00-15:30)Ability to provide annual leave and shift coverage (with appropriate notice)Demonstrated experience with preventative, predictive, breakdown and corrective maintenance activities (incl. fault finding and troubleshooting)Experience in safety & quality systems and proceduresPneumatics and hydraulics experience will be advantageousExperience within an FMCG industry plant will be highly regarded (but not essential)Sound judgment and decision-making abilityPossess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills in addition to time management skillsAbility to work proactively whilst unsupervised whilst also being able to work within a team environmentBe an intermediate user of Windows and associated suite of Microsoft productsWillingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening)The Perks Fully supplied and laundered uniform + boots + PPESupportive team environmentIncome Protection InsuranceOn-site canteenOn-site parkingIf you are looking for the next step in your industrial fitter career, and the opportunity to work with a truly global leader in food processing - now is the time to submit your application.
