THE OPPORTUNITY
As one of the Project Managers working in our Infrastructure Team at SMCT, you will enjoy working collaboratively in a dedicated team that values quality and excellence. You will oversee a number of projects that help to ensure that our unique spaces are maintained and developed. Your role will be integral in communicating the project needs to designers, consultants and contractors and ensuring they are designed and delivered within timeframes, budget and scope. You can expect to be working on a diverse range of civil and landscaping projects including construction of 1500 monumental graves, new roadworks and associated services and infrastructure, and landscaping-projects providing serene and natural landscaped areas for memorials.

Responsibilities include:
* Deliver value to key stakeholders by setting, maintaining and ensuring project management standards are in line with best practice
* Manage consultants and contractors to deliver construction projects across a variety of SMCT's sites
* Develop and sustain effective working relationships and communication with all key stakeholders
* Provide input and review of project concepts and design documentation, and participate in procurement activities including tender evaluation and recommendation.
* Manage risks, issues and dependencies across the projects
* Ensure project governance, including planning, financials, reporting, relevant legislative requirements, is delivered to SMCT's project framework
ABOUT YOU
* Experienced client-side Project Manager with several years experience working in a similar role
* Proven capability to undertake project management activities including project planning and documentation, project monitoring and reporting
* Proven capability to undertake construction contract management activities including contract administration and management
* Experience working in local government or state government agencies
* Previous history of project coordination and project administration will be highly regarded
* Proven capability to work effectively and efficiently towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple priorities
* Qualification in Project Management and certification in PM methodologies (highly regarded)
* Excellent time management, organisational and problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Valid Victorian Driver's Licence with no restrictions
