Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.
In December 2024, we commenced providing health, mental health and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team, which includes nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals, offer a wide range of healthcare services to detainees, such as triaging, medication, wound management, immunisation, and other clinical procedures. HCA also introduced a Virtual Care Centre (VCC), a 24/7 service that provides remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations, helping to enhance onsite care for detainees.

Accounts Payable is responsible for ensuring that outstanding accounts held by suppliers and creditors to HCA’s business are maintained and up to date. This role is also required to ensure that accounts payable records are thoroughly maintained and that processes are reviewed to identify opportunity to develop and improve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide total management of the process of payment to suppliers and other creditors.
* Maintain accurate and auditable Accounts Payable records.
* Maintain and enforce HCA accounts payable policies.
* Timely payments and resolution of queries.
* Provide excellent customer service to both suppliers and employees.
* Finance
* Perform BPAY & EFT payments weekly
* Review supplier statements to ensure invoices are being processed in accordance with trading terms.
* Provide ad hoc support
* Client
* Attend to queries from suppliers and employees.
* Maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance to promote Healthcare Australia’s reputation with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Process
* Identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems, and be proactive in suggesting improvements and new ideas.
* Invoice scanning and emailing for approval daily.
* Process invoices daily including correct treatment of GST.
* Review coding to ensure items are correctly categorized in the general ledger.
* Manage supplier maintenance.
* Ensure appropriate filing and archiving of documents to enable retrieval for auditors and other enquiries.
* Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies and procedures
* Actively identify, develop and implement business process improvements and efficiencies within your area.
* Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by the finance manager or financial controller.
Qualifications
3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable activities in a medium-sized organization.
Experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable
