To become a TAFE Queensland teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
5. TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
6. TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
7. TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
8. TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
9. TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
10. TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
11. Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Additional Mandatory Requirements
Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (Certificate III minimum, Australian equivalent);

13. UEE43020 (Certificate IV in Electrical Equipment and Systems)
14. UEE40720 (Certificate IV in Electronics and Communications)
15. UEE42720 (Certificate IV in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Servicing)
16. UEE50520 (Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering)
17. UEE53020 (Diploma of Electrical Systems Engineering)
and
18. ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.

Salary
Casual
$105.69 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
**Foundation Educator
$61,857.70 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
Teacher
$86,564.26 - $97,991.36 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators’ Certified Agreement 2023)
