About the role:
You’ll lead our payroll function for a 6-month period, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with Modern Awards, pay rates, and employment conditions. Your expertise will be essential in managing the payroll function at KinCare by ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
You’ll provide ongoing support and direction to a dedicated payroll team member and ensure efficiency in our payroll operations, ensuring that our 1300 employees are paid correctly and on time.
You’ll oversee all aspects of the payroll process, handle payroll-related queries and escalations, and drive process improvements. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll with other organizational functions, promoting a cohesive and unified approach.
When not working from the Bella Vista office, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home (4 days per week) ensuring a balanced and productive work environment.
About you:
* Proficiency in Access Micropay payroll software and systems is essential, with the ability to leverage technology for process improvements.
* Proven experience in managing payroll operations, preferably within a medium-large organization.
* Strong knowledge of Modern Awards, pay rates, and employment conditions in Australia.
* Demonstrated ability to ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching and developing team members.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship management and the ability to handle all payroll-related queries and escalations effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing business priorities as required.
