Join our dynamic Allied Health team as an Allied Health Assistant, where you’ll work collaboratively across programs, providing essential support to clinicians and clients. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will: Assist clinicians in planning, preparation, and delivery of individual therapy sessions, group programs, and outreach activities. Support the Healthy Aging Hub (HAH) and Child Health and Development (CHAD) teams to ensure seamless client care. Assist the Occupational Therapist with home visits, including setting up equipment and educating clients on safe usage. Conduct follow-up phone calls with clients and stakeholders to support treatment plans. Undertake administrative tasks such as monitoring supplies, maintaining client files, and supporting intake processes. Facilitate group programs, with the potential to independently run established sessions within your scope of practice. About you You are a proactive, flexible, and compassionate professional with a strong commitment to client-centered care. Your experience in supporting allied health services and working within diverse communities will help you thrive in this role. You will bring: Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent). Strong understanding of the Community Health Program and the role of Allied Health Assistants. Experience in delivering allied health services in individual and group settings. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and independently when required. Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and interpreters. Understanding of consumer-directed care with a focus on enhancing client experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and data entry. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet. An open, inclusive, and adaptable communication style. Effective time management with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Self-motivated with the initiative to work autonomously.
