Senior Credit Analyst (Agribusiness) - 56139 Permanent position, offering a hybrid working environment Australia – corporate offices How will I help?
Working with Agribusiness Relationship Managers, the role involves credit assessment of counterparties across a range of farm types and industries in both pre and post farm gate enterprises and those encompassing both.
You will meet with individual farmers, company executives and professional investors.
A core focus will be providing input into debt sizing, loan structuring and compilation of credit reviews.
Delivering concise credit papers that logically outline transaction risks and issues and ensures credit submissions are 'decision-able'.
Provide high quality credit work and actively influence Stakeholders to deliver great deal execution within agreed time frames.
Analysis (risk profiling, financial analysis & related credit submission activities — completing within agreed timeframes to support deal origination) Monitoring (undertaking dynamic risk management of the agribusiness customer portfolio, including timely monitoring of covenants, completion of periodic reviews and continuous risk monitoring).
Provide Coaching & Support to Credit Analysts and Business Partners and effective deal support for Bankers.
Research (customers and industries, maintaining and disseminating research to facilitate effective risk identification and mitigation).
Protecting the Westpac Groups assets by applying sound credit management practices.

Minimum 15 years agribusiness credit analysis experience, including large-scale agribusiness and cash flow lending.
Ability to influence process and facilitate great deal execution while working at a fast pace and managing multiple priorities.
Product knowledge across a wide range of agricultural industries, as well as Financial and Debt Markets.
Transactional Banking and Working Capital Services products knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential.
An understanding of club and syndicate structures would be helpful.
A demonstrated ability to develop, influence and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or agribusiness industry experience.
Concise Writing Skills, proficient cash flow modelling skills and an abundance of commercial awareness/business acumen.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with an ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
