Due to our company growth and strong pipeline of future projects, Fairbrother is looking to recruit for a number of positions to join our Devonport team in a full-time permanent role including Carpenters & Leading Hand Carpenters.
As a successful candidate in the position of Carpenter or Leading Hand Carpenter with Fairbrother, you will support Site Managers appointed to the relevant project who lead a strong and capable team of qualified trade staff, technicians, and general labourers. While on the tools, you will assist all trade staff and apprentices with technical support, advice, and mentoring, as well as meeting deadlines. Your time management and organisational skills are second to none as well as your ability to work under pressure.

Joining Fairbrother as a Carpenter / Leading Hand, you will display the following attributes:
* Commercial / Residential construction industry experience. Leading hands required to have 5 years minimum experience within the role.
* The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team.
* Proactive, organised, prepared, and focused.
* Collaborative nature that is approachable and proactive.
* Superior time management and ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written, verbally, and active listening.
* Rapport building with a variety of stakeholders.
* Lead by example.
* An unwavering focus on safety and quality standards.
To be successful, the candidate will display:
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Certificate III in Carpentry (mandatory).
* Construction Industry White Card.
* Working Safely at Heights.
* Own tools.
* Own vehicle.
