The position is part-time with full time a consideration for the right candidate.
The role is primarily based around our commercial work; reading tender documents and floor plans, preparing quotes using Excel and submitting the necessary paperwork along with WHS requirements.
Once established in the team, tasks will also encompass helping our clients create beautiful spaces within their homes; this is achieved through face-to-face consultations in our showroom, telephone discussions and well-written communication.
Experience and knowledge of homewares and window furnishings is desirable, though not essential as you will be trained within all aspects of our business.
A strong personal interest in home design and a general understanding of how colours and textures work together is preferred.
You must get enjoyment from helping others to create stunning homes and spaces as this will be your secondary role.About You:Strong business administration skills; must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite – primarily Excel.Ability to prepare documents required in the building industry.Have experience reading floor plans and tender documents.Background within the building industry, home and interior design, or a creative role is strongly preferred.Good presentation and high attention to detail.The ability to work within a team and solely in our showroom on occasion.Able to learn and retain knowledge.Looking for longevity in the workplace.You know that a personalised cover letter helps your application and shows you pay attention to details.Key Responsibilities:Administration duties; providing quotes, invoices and receipts to clients, commercial tender quotes, liaising with builders, diary organisation.Answering phone calls, writing, and responding to written correspondence.Learning and upkeeping an extensive knowledge of our range of products, assisting clients in our Townsville showroom.All Blinds and Curtains are pleased to offer a positive and flexible work environment.
