About the role
The purpose of this role is to effectively provide a high level of confidential, efficient and accurate administrative service support to the multi-disciplinary Heart Failure Service and the Advanced Heart Failure Unit as directed as part of the administration team within the Cardiology Program.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
* Provide a focal point for patient and public contact within the Advanced Heart Failure Unit and the Heart Failure Support Service to assist enquiries to ensure the best information and response is provided.
* Responsible for the daily operational activities of the Heart Failure Service Clinics, including chart preparation, management of all patient appointments and diagnostic testings, including follow-up reviews, rescheduling and cancellations in conjunction with medical, clinical and nursing staff and in accordance with relevant Queensland Health policies, procedures and legislative guidelines.
* Undertake accurate recording and monitoring of patient information from Queensland Health systems and software including: Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), ieMR, Enterprise Service Management (ESM), Q-Flow, The Viewer, and Microsoft 365.
