The Opportunity
Peregian Springs Country Club is a large retirement living community that is home to 230+ independent living units and is located moments from the Peregian Springs Golf Club. Working closely with the Community Manager and your small team of hospitality staff, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents. The successful candidate will have a positive rapport with residents, be hands-on, understand food safety principles and ensure sufficient supplies of ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for food, people and service to our residents! If you are an experienced Chef or Head Chef and looking for a great team of residents and staff, join us!
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday- Friday 9.30-5.30pm

You will:
* Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - overseeing lunch & dinner services, providing guidance to your team and creating fresh ideas in the kitchen
* Work closely with your food & beverage team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions
* Monitor daily Food Safety and compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to all O H& S policies
* Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
* Complete staff rostering, manage hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to residents
* Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues
What you'll bring:
* Experience as a Chef in a casual dining kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, aged care, cafes, a la carte settings, R S Ls or pubs)
* Certificate I I I in Commercial Cookery (required)
* Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
* Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)
* Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) C O V I D-19 vaccinations (required)
