In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects that align with the organization's risk management and compliance objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in full compliance with relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution:Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of risk and compliance-related projects, ensuring that they meet organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Coordinate project teams and manage resources to ensure successful project outcomes.Risk Management:Identify and assess project risks, including operational, financial, and regulatory risks.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor risk factors and take corrective actions when necessary to minimize negative impacts on the project.Compliance Management:Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the project aligns with compliance requirements.Conduct regular compliance checks and audits during the project to verify adherence to regulatory standards.Stakeholder Management and Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including senior management, legal, audit, and compliance teams.Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.Effectively communicate project objectives, risks, and compliance requirements to project team members and stakeholders at all levels.Project Monitoring and Reporting:Track project performance, ensuring that it stays on schedule, within budget, and within scope.Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and compliance checklists.Ensure proper tracking and reporting of any issues related to risk or compliance to senior management.Change Management:Identify potential changes or adjustments needed during the project and manage change requests effectively.Ensure that all changes are assessed for their impact on risk, compliance, and project timelines before implementation.Team Leadership and Collaboration:Lead, motivate, and coordinate project team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring high performance.Provide guidance on risk and compliance matters, mentoring junior project team members as necessary.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or equivalent, is highly preferred.Additional certifications in risk management or compliance (e.g., CRISC, CISA, or similar) are a plus.Experience:5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on risk management and compliance.Proven experience managing projects that involve regulatory requirements and compliance standards.Technical Skills:Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and risk management tools.Strong understanding of compliance management systems, risk mitigation techniques, and industry best practices.Analytical and Risk Management Skills:Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, with a strong focus on compliance-related risks.Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk and compliance information clearly to stakeholders.Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.Organizational Skills:Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Detail-oriented, with a focus on both strategic and tactical project execution.Other Skills:Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting risk and compliance in the industry.Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing large-scale compliance or risk management projects in highly regulated industries.Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software platforms.Experience with Agile project management methodologies is a plus.
