We have a vacancy for an experienced HIAB Crane Truck Driver and Operator who is working within our electrical maintenance and project teams.We are looking for an energetic team player with a can-do attitude, reliable, good communication skills and enjoys working in a team.Some of your duties will include:1. Loading and Unloading Goods:Testing the operation of the plant before use to ensure safety.Operate the HIAB crane to load and unload heavy goods or materials safely by safely manoeuvring the vehicles into position for loading and unloading.Use appropriate attachments like hooks, grabs, or buckets, depending on the load.Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices and observing safety requirements.Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.2. Equipment Operation and MaintenanceInspect the HIAB crane and truck regularly for faults or wear and tear.Perform basic maintenance and report issues needing repairs.Ensure the crane and its attachments are in safe working condition.Operating controls to rotate cranes, move cranes on fixed rails, raise and lower jibs and booms, and raise, lower and move hooks and objects.Working in conjunction with Construction Riggers and Crane Chasers to position hooks and raise, move and place loads.Controlling the movement of loads, and monitoring speed, acceleration and braking distances directly and by signalling to other operators.3. Safety ComplianceConduct risk assessments for lifting operations.Monitoring plant operation, instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions and problems.Lubricating ropes and winches on cranes and replacing worn cables.May operate cranes fitted with attachments for purposes such as demolition and pile driving.May operate overhead cranes using hand controls suspended by cables from cranes.What skills and experience do you need?Must have: Minimum HR Drivers Licence.Experience and competency in operating Hiab.Must have: HIGH-RISK WORK LICENCE - CV (Vehicle Loading Crane).White Card.Asbestos Awareness Training.Working with Asbestos Containing Materials.Silica Training.Although not essential, candidates with the following will be looked upon favourably:Under or over 11 meter EWP Tickets.Evo Energy Blue Book training.Traffic Management Cards.CPR, First Aid, LV Rescue.If you are looking for a role in a good team environment or with variety, then we encourage you to apply.
