Reintegration Officers, as the key staff within the Reintegration Department, deliver upon these results. As a Reintegration Officer you will be responsible for assisting prisoner requests, submitting applications for support in Acacia and for when released into the community, engaging and collaborating with not-for-profit organisations, external agencies and internal Acacia departments (such as the Real Support Network), promoting effective throughcare into the community and supporting the broader Reintegration Team, including prisoner workers. To be successful in this role you’ll have: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with prisoners, staff, and other stakeholders. Previous experience working with similar groups, understanding the unique challenges they face and demonstrating empathy while maintaining boundaries. Commitment to confidentiality regarding prisoner, staff, and operational information Ability to identify and address issues within your area of responsibility and bring innovative ideas to improve processes and support reintegration. A proactive approach to working as part of a team, including effective collaboration across various departments and stakeholders. Background in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
