The Opportunity:
This is a fixed term full time opportunity for a period of 3 years with possibility of extension.
The Project Manager will coordinate the departments delivery of the state funded project: Building Climate Resilience of West Kimberley Traditional Owners. The Project will identify and address the direct and significant social, cultural, financial, and environmental climate change impacts on Aboriginal People in the West Kimberley. The project will engage a range of partners to build a body of evidence combining Indigenous Science (traditional knowledge) and western science and develop an Indigenous-led West Kimberley climate change adaptation and resilience strategy.
Project delivery will be in conjunction with the Martuwarra Fitzroy River Keepers program, a community-based initiative brokered by the Nulungu Research Institute University of Notre Dame and supported by major investment from an Australian Research Grant and the West Australian Government Climate Adaption fund. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the project partners and teams to deliver outcomes and ensure the project objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
