About the role
:
Our successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in patient care, inner facility patient transfers, maintaining a high degree of cleanliness, dealing with security issues, including patient restraints to support the effective and efficient functioning of the health service. Health and Security Assistants are supported by Security Manager on the job training and orientation will be provided. Professional development and education is encouraged and supported. All staff undergo annual performance development reviews.
Where you'll be working:
1. This position will cover all Lower Hunter Sector facilities, Including Maitland Hospital, Cessnock and Kurri Kurri Hospitals.
2. This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.

3. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Undertaking and flexibility to work a 24/7 roster.
5. Basic computer skills.
6. Effective conflict resolution skills.
7. Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel to sites across HNELHD.
