About the role The DC Facilities Engineering Support provides 24/7 support services to the data centre client base, visitors, contractors, and internal teams, including facilities and security staff. The role ensures the smooth operation of Fujitsu’s data centres by maintaining compliance with established processes, managing site activities safely, and creating a professional and productive work environment. Responsibilities: Support Services: Provide 24/7 support to clients, visitors, contractors, and internal teams within the data centre. Act as the primary point of contact for facilities and security-related queries. Monitor and respond to service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Site Operations and Activity Management: Oversee and manage on-site activities, ensuring safety and compliance with approved changes. Enforce adherence to Fujitsu’s processes and procedures by all parties operating within the data centre. Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance, installations, or repairs. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all activities comply with safety, environmental, and security policies. Monitor critical infrastructure, promptly escalating issues to the appropriate teams. Participate in risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies as needed. Experience: Essential: Prior experience in data centre operations or facilities management. Understanding of data centre processes, including safety, security, and change management protocols. Familiarity with managing contractors and ensuring adherence to standards. Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders. Ability to follow processes meticulously and ensure compliance with operational protocols. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues appropriately. Capacity to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts, in a rotating schedule. Additional Information: This is a 12-hour shift role, requiring a rotating schedule of 2 day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM), followed by 2 night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), and 4 days off.
