Tully Hill is accepting applications for an experienced individual to join our team as Assistant Chef. Will be responsible for preparing and providing the highest quality food and service to patients, staff and visitors. Tully Hill offers a great opportunity to work in a recently renovated, immaculate commercial kitchen!
Job Duties:
1. Assisting the Food Service Director/Head Chef with managing kitchen operations to include food preparation and friendly, efficient service.
2. Performing prep work such as washing, peeling, and cutting.
3. Completing hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying and broiling ingredients.
4. Preparing menu items according to approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
5. Providing oversight of quality and quantity of product produced by kitchen staff.
6. Serving patients, staff and visitors in a friendly, efficient manner.
7. Setting up and breaking down hot/cold food station.
8. Operating kitchen equipment (slicer, mixer, grill, oven, fryer, dishwasher) in accordance with health department and OSHA guidelines, using proper techniques for food handling and storing leftovers.
9. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and utensils.
10. Washing dishes and ensuring compliance with applicable Department of Health food service regulations.
11. Providing supervision of cooks and food service workers when Food Service Director is not available to ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Requirements:
1. 2+ years food prep and cooking experience required.
2. Current SERVSAFE certification preferred.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Full Time. Day Shift. Hours between 6am – 6pm. Some weekend availability required.
