Job Description
Your New Role
Working under the direction of the Senior Maintenance Manager and reporting to the Support Services Manager, the successful applicant will work with the customer’s technical organisation and provide support to the end users through maintaining their in-service equipment and providing technical support assistance.
Responsibilities will include:
* Maintain an annual activity plan for all Preventative Maintenance
* Perform routine Preventative Maintenance activities on the delivered systems
* Plan and coordinate completion of routine Preventative Maintenance activities by external vendors
* Work with the Senior Maintenance Manager to schedule Corrective Maintenance activities
* Perform fault-finding and conduct investigations into customer-reported system defects
* Managing and reporting performance against contracted maintenance KPIs
* Coordination of internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities
* Ensuring all maintenance activities have the required Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) documentation and are accurately reflected within the CoA systems
* Conduct Goods Inwards receipt and inspection – including raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
* Support Inventory management – including inventory movement and accounting of Leidos assets and CMCA
Occasional local and interstate travel may be required to perform maintenance and support technical investigations at end-user locations.
Qualifications
About You & What You'll Bring
Essential
* Ability to plan and schedule work as this role will include the coordination of maintenance activities
* Demonstrated experience working on electrical / mechanical systems and use of hand tools – practical experience in any of the following areas: vehicle mechanical work (marine, aviation or automotive), technical field service work, appliance servicing, electrical/electronic trades, IT service
* Certificate III or higher in relevant field or student with studies underway in a related area
* PC skills - managing software installation and auditing, as well as ability to manage firmware upgrades.
Desirable
* Telecommunications skills – including understanding of Local Area Networks (LANs) and radio networks
* Written expression – ability to write reports and answer correspondence effectively
* Experience working on equipment operated in a maritime environment
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Clearance.
