The role requires you to work closely with our doctors in providing clinical assistance and is accountable for the quality of patient assessments.You must be a Registered Optometrist with AHPRA.Your key duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Orientating, developing and directing the teamStaff training in diagnostic equipmentImplementing ophthalmic procedures and guidelinesCoordinating with excellent problem-solving skillsManaging stock and suppliesEnsuring safe practice and complianceTaking patient history, vision testing, and insertion of eye dropsSetting up for minor proceduresPerforming clinical testing on patients including the use of OCT, Ascan, Bscan, and Visual FieldsEducating patients on various procedures and treatmentsOur practice is a ‘paperless practice’ so a good knowledge and understanding of computers and software packages is desirable.This is a full-time position Monday to Friday only. Hours may be rostered between 7am and 6pm.
