About the Team
The team is focused on supporting communities impacted by the 2021-2022 disaster season through grant funding and providing meaningful outcomes for Queenslanders. We collaborate across teams and stakeholders to foster a positive work environment and are committed to continuous improvement in delivering government-funded disaster recovery initiatives.
The Position
As the Senior Grants Officer, you will take a leading role in managing the delivery of initiatives. You will coordinate and assess Hardship Certificate applications, provide advice on the program, and support the Principal Advisor in achieving the team’s objectives. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to enhance service delivery and drive improvements that benefit homeowners affected by disasters.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and assess Hardship Certificate applications under the program.
2. Respond to customer queries through phone and email, offering support to stakeholders.
3. Manage and escalate issues related to customer service or program queries.
4. Monitor performance and provide feedback to the team, ensuring program efficiency.
5. Prepare reports for ministerial and departmental purposes.
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program outcomes.
7. Identify areas for improvement in grant management practices and contribute to policy development.
8. Foster a culture of workplace safety, ensuring compliance with WHS standards.
