About the role
We are looking for an Environmental Advisor to drive environmental compliance across the project and support the delivery of project targets for environmental protection and practices during construction work.
Initially supporting one of our marine projects in Osborne SA, the role will transition into future works scheduled for South Australia.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Providing advice to construction teams on environmental management requirements to deliver outstanding environmental outcomes
2. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract and environmental legal obligations.
3. Assess and allocate priorities as necessary & advise the environmental manager promptly
4. Active participation in identifying and assessing environmental initiatives and programs
5. Oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, ecology, water, waste, noise, air
6. Undertaking inspections, audits and environmental monitoring. Reporting, interpretation of results and action of findings
7. Promote and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan
Successful candidate will have:
8. Tertiary qualifications in area of environmental science / engineering, natural resource management or related field.
9. Minimum 2 years’ environmental advisory experience, preferably in a construction environment.
10. Strong understanding of South Australian legislation including but not limited to EPA, DEW, SA Heritage Act
11. Ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
12. Self-sufficient, requiring limited supervision with focus on results.
