Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior Regional Clinical Coder!
Are you an experienced Clinical Coder with a passion for healthcare data and accuracy? The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) is seeking a dedicated Senior Regional Clinical Coder to join our high-performing team, responsible for coding diverse patient care across 12 health services in the Murray and Mallee Regions.
This pivotal role will see you applying your expertise in ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and Australian Coding Standards to ensure that diagnoses, procedures, and patient care are accurately translated into coded data for vital uses like statistical analysis, funding, research, and quality audits.
As the Senior Regional Clinical Coder, you will be integral to maintaining coding excellence across a broad mix of acute, sub-acute, mental health, and surgical cases. You’ll work closely with hospital administration and contribute to internal audits and the education of trainee coders. With a focus on high-quality data submission and adherence to coding standards, your role will directly impact hospital planning and care quality. Essential Criteria
* Successful completion of one of clinical coding qualifications and a minimum of 3 years coding experience with evidence of recent coding within a hospital setting:
o Diploma in Clinical Coding
o Advance Coding Course
o Certificate IV in Clinical Classification
o Intermediate Coding Course
