Quality Engineer
McIlwain are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team for our NSW based projects, initially assisting on our Mount Victoria Slope Remediation project.
We offer the flexibility to be based either at our Brisbane Head Office or on the project site in the Blue Mountains depending on your location and preference.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible in implementing and overseeing the Quality Management System and the Quality Assurance Procedures and Plans.
This position will be responsible for works in NSW and so you would be required to travel to our NSW projects when necessary if located in QLD.
Duties:
* Ensure construction procedures are developed and understood by the project teams
* Ensure construction activities are compliant to the Quality Management Plan (QMP)
* Ensure documentation and traceability of construction Lots as per the QMP and identify and rectify non-conforming products
* Assist the engineers on site with the preparation of non-conformance reports as required
* Review completed NCR’s including all corrective and preventative actions and close-outs
* Report on project performance in relation to the QMP, KPI’s and specified quality objectives and targets
Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's in Engineering (civil preferred)
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role on civil construction projects
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
* Lead Auditor qualification or willing to attain in future if successful
