What success looks like in this role:
The position will be a Subject Matter Expert on Application Packaging. Job includes classification, discovery, and packaging applications which can be deployed via Systems Management tools. Custom scripting would be an added advantage. End-to-end understanding of request / Release management process.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Should be a Subject Matter Expert in Application Packaging, Application Virtualization, and Applications Assessment technologies and be ready to present or lead discussions on these technologies.
2. Very good knowledge of MSI packaging with Flexera Admin Studio
3. Very good knowledge of scripting with PowerShell
4. Good knowledge of the App Deployment Toolkit
5. Lead and drive any major escalations to a successful closure.
6. Lead automation initiatives
7. Should have a thorough understanding of all the KPIs and SLAs. Should be able to derive and calculate KPIs.
8. Provide Level 3 support to the client’s Service Desk and Level 2 engineers as needed.
9. Should take part in account transitions, ensure all the right processes are applied and followed and a clearly defined and documented RACI matrix is in place.
10. Should be able to work with the Solution Architects on new proposals and provide improvements and suggestions to the solutions.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
11. NV1 Security Clearance is required.
12. Strong understanding of ITIL, specific to Change & Release management
13. Ability and willingness to take direction from team Lead, SDM and Client Executives
14. Ability to work in a team environment
15. Able to adapt to a changing technical environment
16. Ability to coach other members of the team in their area of expertise
17. Ability to communicate clearly with all team members and end-users
18. Ability to work with a sense of urgency
19. Customer-facing presentation and consulting skills
20. Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell
Certifications:
21. Flexera Admin studio Certification Preferred
