This job offer is available for Principal House Officers in adult cardiology at the Cardiology Unit, Queensland Health.
As a key member of the team, you will provide clinical care under supervision and acquire skills, training, and knowledge in the practice of adult cardiology.
About the Role
The successful candidate will report to the Director of the Cardiology Unit and fulfill accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.
* Provide fair and respectful treatment to patients and other staff from diverse backgrounds.
* Make ethical decisions to achieve organizational objectives.
* Assess adult cardiology patients, determine investigations, and establish management plans in consultation with Consultant cardiologists.
* Communicate assessment findings and proposed management plans to patients and carers, seeking consent.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Inpatient and outpatient care, including assessing adult cardiology patients and determining appropriate investigations.
* Establishing management plans for patients in consultation with Consultant cardiologists.
* Ensuring discharge planning commences early in the process of care.
* Treatment orders are appropriately documented (including medications and general management plans).
