About the Role
We have the exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join the team in Melbourne, supporting the delivery of our Land Lease Community projects in Northern Melbourne. This exciting role will see you drive engagement with key stakeholders in order to achieve the project management group vision and outcomes.
Working collaboratively with the Project Management team, you’ll be responsible for providing project management assistance from project inception to completion in partnership with Project and Development Managers.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the project management team to ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered on time.
* Provide support in creating, advising, and monitoring project plans.
* Assist in the development and operation of project management tools, resources and advice to support large and complex projects through to completion.
* Develop understanding and establish partnering relationships with key stakeholder groups associated with the Project including contractors, consultants, and approval authorities.
* Assist with project documentation processes and ensure they are complete and well maintained.
* Assist the Project Management team in ensuring project priorities are clearly established and frequently communicated with all key stakeholders.
* Deliver project management expertise and coordinate daily site activities, administration, quality inspections and defecting on site.
About You
* Previous experience in management of construction projects, ideally volume housing.
* Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen.
* Tertiary qualification in Project Management is an advantage.
* Strong communication and relationship management skills.
* Good understanding of legal requirements and obligations in the administration of contracts.
* Experience and understanding of the property industry
* Strong ability to lead, drive and motivate contractors and consultants to achieve program milestones.
