We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Wellness Partner to help them champion workplace safety, employee well-being, and a culture of health and accountability on a 12-week temporary basis.
On offer is camp style accommodation and two flights paid to Port Hedland and returning.
Please note this not a FIFO position and the successful candidate would need to reside in town.
About the Role As a Health, Safety, and Wellness Partner, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and wellness programs across various departments.
This role requires strong collaboration skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for supporting employees in leading healthy and safe lives at work and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Safety Compliance: Ensure the organisation adheres to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
Health and Wellness Programs: Design and implement workplace wellness initiatives focusing on mental health, physical fitness, and overall employee well-being Training and Education: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to ensure all employees understand policies and best practices Incident Management: Investigate workplace incidents, maintain accurate records, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence Risk Assessments: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend safety improvement Employee Support: Provide guidance and resources related to occupational health, wellness, and injury prevention Policy Development: Develop, review, and update health, safety, and wellness policies to reflect best practices and legislative changes Qualifications Education: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, Human Resources, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a health, safety, and/or wellness role, preferably in a government, public sector, or multi-department organisation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, risk management principles, and workplace wellness best practices Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
