The Location Donwood is a 107 bed facility based in Croydon and whilst there is plenty of competition from other Aged Care providers in our area, we have continued to maintain 99% occupancy throughout the 35+ years of our operation. Our home caters for all levels of care needs and includes a secure dementia area. We have a small retirement village and a community day program on site. Donwood is located near Maroondah Public and Ringwood Private Hospitals, Burnt Bridge Shopping Centre, and the major Eastland Shopping Centre. The Role On joining Donwood your role will encompass the following : Strong administrative and organisational skills High accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and aged care financial regulations A customer-focused approach with excellent telephone communication Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication, enabling effective interaction with clients and internal stakeholders Demonstrated competencies in financial management or accounting practices to ensure alignment to the strategic objectives of an organisation. Capacity to work in a results-oriented team environment, organise and prioritise duties in the provision of an effective work output. Strong Microsoft Office applications (word & excel) Experience in the following would be an added advantage Residential Aged Care financials (Aged Care specific reporting and funding ANACC, RAD/RAC, QFR, ACFR and APCS) PowerBI report generation and analysis Inerva Accounting/Payroll Software EBA Negotiations Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll Your qualifications An energetic accountant (Tertiary Qualified) with collaborative leadership skills, financial and management reporting experience, a zest for life and the elderly.
