Type : Part-Time Term : Ongoing Position Details Mater Dei College has the opportunity for a permanent Student Services Coordinator to become an integral part of the College’s Administrative Department, commencing January 2025. We are seeking a pro-active, friendly and confident individual to manage the day-to-day coordination of the Student Services Administration to ensure a high standard of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders. The Student Services Coordinator will be in attendance from Monday’s to Friday’s, 8:00am to 4:00pm for 42 weeks per year. It is a requirement that 2 weeks are to be worked during the school holiday period. The Student Services Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are inclusive of, but not limited to: • Managing student absentees, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of class attendances and overseeing data entry to ensure that the integrity of the databases is maintained for AoS, Consent2Go and SEQTA • Attending to the customer service requirements for students, staff and parents • Assisting with pastoral care issues and referring students to Heads of Year, Deputy Principals and/or the MDC Wellbeing Service staff when required • Coordinating the first aid requirements for students on a daily basis and supervising the College sickbay, including record management and contact with parents • Administratively manage RollCall for the College private bus routes Selection Criteria The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational and time management skills, whilst supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the College. The successful applicant will also demonstrate clear and effective communication skills with students, parents, teachers, other staff members and parents, along with the proven ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Previous experience working in a school environment and knowledge in the use of AoS will be viewed favourably. Relevant qualifications within First Aid are also highly favourable. Qualifications Required Terms of Employment: • Hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC) • Hold a current National Police Clearance from the Department of Education • Hold or be working towards an Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School • Annually complete the online Child Protection Procedures and Mandatory Reporting Training and any other CEWA mandatory training Highly Desirable Knowledge and Experience: • This role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling harmonious and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with demonstrated experience in the application of customer service principles and practice • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and confident in different situations to provide assistance across a variety of tasks • Excellent verbal communication skills • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong time management and organisational skills • Experience in computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with knowledge of AoS and SEQTA • A high level of First Aid • Experience in an educational setting For further information please visit the College website.
