Electrical Service Technician - Salt Creek Wind Farm

About the Role
This role is for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic electrical technician to work in our service team. The successful applicant must hold a recognised Australian trade certificate.
The department is a small team environment based on site at Salt Creek Wind Farm. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the wind turbines in accordance with the contract.
Responsibilities
* Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
* Respond and attend site outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
* Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition
* Undertake operations and maintenance within the limits of training and authorisation including operation of HV and LV
* Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with environmental practices
* Complete the site induction
* Comply with the Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA)
* Adhere to OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention
* Observe all work instructions, safety codes, and statutory regulations
* Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
* Participate in safety meetings as required
* Perform other duties as directed within competence and experience
Qualifications
* Electrical trade certificate
* Full clean driving license
* Proficient with PC & modern technologies
* Ability to read/interpret technical drawings
* Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems is advantageous
* Motivation to learn new skills
* Understanding of safety principles
* Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
* Proficient in the use of various hand tools
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
* Ability to work at heights in confined environments
