Known for our continuous innovation and technology-enabled products, we are driven to improve environmental sustainability for generations to come.The purpose of this position is to design and optimise electrical systems for manufacturing, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS standards and a focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, define and document detailed electrical and component specifications.Provide leadership in designing electrical systems and equipment.Ensure electrical designs meet AS/NZS regulatory compliance requirements.Evaluate electrical assembly techniques and test procedures to ensure safety in the manufacture, testing, commissioning, use and service of the product.Provide assistance in the development of supporting product literature.Conduct cost improvement programs, drive innovation, liaise with suppliers and work closely with supply chain to find the most reliable and cost-effective solutions.Provide technical support and leadership to the team, generate wiring diagrams, BoMs, PIDs and in general designs to ensure a smooth production process.Develop test plans and conduct component testing and validation.Generate work instructions and procedures as required.Taking ownership of IP protection.Experience5 Years experience in a similar role.A sound knowledge of low and extra low voltage switch gear design – AC and DC Circuits.Hold a comprehensive understanding of PLC circuit design and programming, Inputs and Outputs sensors and controllers, Power relays and modes of communications: CAN-Bus, I2C, Wireless communication, ethernet (Networking) and HMI UI development.What we OfferAccess to FlareHR Benefits platform.Supportive team environment.Ongoing training and support.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Please note this role is based in the office (Hallam), full time, Monday - Friday.At Wastech, we’re driving innovation with a passionate, industry-leading engineering and manufacturing team.
