The Training Program Will Focus On:Understanding and applying industry drafting standards.Developing skills in reviewing and refining design elements with guidance from supervisors.Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve issues related to design inconsistencies and project requirements.Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and refine technical specifications.Optimization and Analysis:Analyze existing designs and propose improvements to optimize efficiency and feasibility.Implement new drafting techniques and technologies to enhance project outcomes.Documentation:Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, technical specifications, and project records.Develop training materials and guidelines for proper understanding and application of design drawings.Technical SkillsEssential Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.Experience in preparing detailed drawings and plans for civil infrastructure projects is preferred but not mandatory.Knowledge of Australian building codes, drainage, and stormwater management standards.Ability to assist in design and size pumps for water, sewer, and potable water systems.Beginners’ knowledge in drafting and design of gutter sizes, sumps, soak wells, downpipes, and drainage systems.Familiarity with materials such as Copper, PE-Xa, PE, UPVC, PVC, GSP, and SS for drainage and stormwater systems.Understanding of construction documentation and site surveys.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and good understanding in drafting work.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work under pressure and handle coordination of multiple projects efficiently.Proactive approach in seeking clarification and maintaining quality in deliverables.Compliance:Knowledge of Australian engineering standards, regulatory frameworks, and safety requirements.Ability to work within legislative and policy frameworks.Training Program:This 18-month structured training program is designed to progressively develop technical and practical skills.
