OverviewJob Summary: Come join Pennex Aluminum in Wellsville, PA as a nightshift Forklift Operator. As a key team member you will safely and efficiently transport materials using the forklift, which is a powered industrial truck equipped with forks or a platform for lifting and carrying heavy objects. This position is 12h, from 7PM-7AM.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, extrusions, or logs and transports load to designated area.Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.Loads and unloads trucks as required.Empties trash containers as needed.Places empty baskets on wheels for saw crews.Empties scrap hoppers, separating alloy 6061 from 6063 as directed.Loads and unloads heat treat ovens and moves metal to next department or area.Follows proper procedures, starts Age Ovens selecting proper cycles. Completes documentation and charts as required.Monitors Age Cycles periodically to assure proper operation.Insures forklift is maintained in a safe working order. Reports defects or problems to shift supervisor. Completes preventive maintenance and corresponding paperwork as directed.Replaces propane bottle refueling forklift as required. Places empty bottle in proper storage area.Assists with maintaining a neat and orderly plant, insuring aisleways are kept clear.
