Strategic Planners play a vital role in delivering quality, innovative, and inclusive programs and services, making a real difference in our community.
The purpose of this role is to efficiently and effectively process planning proposals under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act, and in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing reports/strategies/plans and providing advice on various planning matters relevant to the Strategic Planning Group.
* Processing, reviewing, and completing Section 10.7 Planning Certificates, including administrative support for planning certificates business processes.
* Responding to verbal and written requests for advice concerning planning matters, including pre-planning proposal advice.
Required skills, experience, and qualifications include:
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in applying the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act in relation to assessing and considering both Council-led and privately-led planning proposals and development control plan amendments and planning policy.
* High-level communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
Remuneration: $96,228.08 to $112,574.80 + 11.5% Superannuation
