The Opportunity
The Sustainability Analyst is a newly created role that will be pivotal in ensuring Suntory Oceania’s Scope 3 emission reporting is accurate and meets all internal and external requirements. This role can be based in either our Sydney or Auckland office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Perform carbon footprint assessments to quantify the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions associated with an organization's operations, products, or services.
* Apply standardised carbon accounting methodologies, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO standards to generate reports.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to carbon emissions reporting, monitoring, and disclosure.
* Complete all internal reporting for Scope 3 emissions on time, accurately, and to a high standard.
* Collaborate with suppliers to help them improve their emission reporting.
What's in your toolkit?
* Relevant tertiary qualification such as Statistics, Geography, Environmental Sciences.
* Understanding of Scope 3 reporting requirements and GHG reporting protocols.
* Previous experience with carbon accounting and understanding of the concepts.
* Previous experience with Scope 3 reporting in a large complex environment.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with large data sets.
* Ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience with external carbon accounting audit process would be highly beneficial.
