About the Role
We currently have opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Maintenance team in the RSM Rail Workshops in Port Hedland. Motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn, successful candidates will enjoy being part of collaborative and diverse teams. This role is working 7 days, 7 nights, and 14 off roster on a residential basis.
As part of our high-performing team, you will :
* Work closely with all employees and stakeholders to analyze performance issues and develop and implement strategies for improvement.
* Fault find and troubleshoot to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures.
* Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvements.
* Notify Supervisor of any defects / damage on any Plant Maintenance equipment.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships across site and functional teams to support collaborative outcomes.
* Positively contribute to Ports culture; ensuring a strong focus on safety, performance, and inclusivity.
* Actively engage and contribute in our improvement programs to help improve the port every day.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following :
* Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter / Turner trade qualification.
* Experience in automation, process control equipment, and environment.
* CNC Sinumerik Automation System experience.
* Previous experience and knowledge with Hydraulic & Pneumatics systems.
