You’ll be the go-to leader overseeing production processes, ensuring smooth operations, and driving efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and love driving results, then this is the role for you!Key Responsibilities:People Management:Lead and manage the production team to ensure a high level of productivity, safety, and operational excellence. Ensuring that Safety is #1 on our Dangerous Goods site. Training, upskilling and Performance reviews will all be part of the role.Hazardous Materials & Dangerous Goods Management:Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of Dangerous Goods and chemicals in compliance with safety regulations. Lead the implementation of safety protocols for blending, filling, and packaging hazardous substances.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits, identify potential safety hazards, and ensure the team is trained in emergency response procedures for chemical spills, leaks, and accidents, while maintaining full compliance with HS&E regulations.Production Management:Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet production targets, maintain product quality and safety standards, and optimise machine efficiency for on-time delivery.Develop, implement and monitor production schedules in collaboration with supply chain and planning teams, ensuring that hazardous materials handling requirements are met without compromise.Quality Assurance:Lead initiatives to address non-conformance and implement corrective actions promptly, ensuring minimal impact on production timelines and product quality.Ensure products meet ISO (ISO-19001:2015) and regulatory standards, and drive improvements to resolve non-conformance, whilst ensuring a culture of proper documentation, and storage of chemicals as per regulatory bodies (e.g., EPA, Trade Waste, Emissions).About You:We are looking for someone who has:Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in chemical manufacturing, with direct involvement in Dangerous Goods handling, chemical blending, and hazardous materials management. (Essential)Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in using computer systems (inventory management software is a plus).Expertise in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the chemical manufacturing industry, with specific experience managing contract manufacturing lines.Proven track record of leading production teams in a highly regulated environment, with a particular focus on Dangerous materials.Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Engineering or a related field (Essential).Certification in Dangerous Goods Handling and Chemical Safety.
