The Role: As a hands-on role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include; Livestock Management Overseeing livestock management across multiple properties to ensure the health and well-being of stock. Coordinating contractors for shearing, crutching, dipping, etc., as well as casual staff for operations. Assist with the preparation and management of Stud sheep. Mustering via motorbikes and vehicles using low-stress stock handling methods and owning working dogs On-farm Responsibilities Conducting regular maintenance at 'Redgum River' and 'Glenburn'. Including but not limited to fencing, water, machinery and infrastructure. Ensuring all areas and equipment are safe and operational for livestock and staff. Management of pastures at ‘Redgum River’ and ‘Glenburn’. Responsible for up-to-date record keeping and communication with the Manager and other partners. Other duties as requested by the Manager. The Ideal Candidate… Requirements: Minimum of 4 years experience in animal husbandry. Strong communication skills. Competent with mustering via bikes and with own working dogs. Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both staff and livestock Strategic thinking with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage various demands during peak periods. Self-motivated with a high level of drive. Capability to work both independently and as part of a team. Advantageous: Interest in sheep breeding and genetics. Experience operating, maintaining and servicing farm machinery. Experience with livestock management platforms such as AgriWebb. Ability to diagnose and solve problems, attention to detail, and take initiative. Being trustworthy, an excellent communicator, and a reliable person.
